Power/Yin -   This is the best of both worlds! Half power and Half Yin (seated postures/stretching). This flow is methodically sequenced to facilitate a deeper access to lengthening of the muscles and connective tissue. Gratifying to beginners, intermediate, and advanced! Modifications are suggested to assist you into a full expression that's appropriate for you. ALL LEVELS WELCOME!

Qigong - The Chinese word “qigong” (pronounced “chee-gung”) is often translated as “energy cultivation.” It is a holistic Chinese practice that combines gentle movements, deep breathing, and meditation to improve overall health and well-being. It focuses on cultivating and balancing the body's vital energy called “qi.” By practicing qigong, you can enhance your physical, mental, and spiritual health.

Qigong typically involves a series of slow, flowing movements combined with deep breathing and meditation. These movements are designed to help the practitioner become more aware of their body, release tension, and improve their posture and balance. Qigong can be practiced by people of all ages and abilities, and it can be adapted to suit different physical conditions.

There are many different styles and approaches to qigong, ranging from gentle and meditative to more energetic and martial in nature. Some qigong practices may also involve the use of visualization, sound, and other techniques to enhance the flow of qi. Flows can be specific to physical and/or emotional targets or be aimed for general practice.

 Quick list of Qigong benefits:

  • Stress reduction and relaxation
  • Improved physical balance and coordination
  • Increased flexibility and range of motion
  • Enhanced energy levels and vitality
  • Improved posture and body alignment
  • Strengthened immune system and relaxed nervous system
  • Better circulation and cardiovascular health
  • Enhanced mental clarity and focus
  • Reduced anxiety and depression symptoms
  • Improved sleep quality
  • Enhanced emotional well-being and resilience
  • Boosted self-awareness and mindfulness
  • Increased overall sense of calm and inner peace
  • Deeper connection to earth and heaven energy

It's important to note that individual experiences may vary, and Qigong should not be considered a substitute for professional medical advice or treatment.

Yin Yoga -   is slower paced style with seated, focused stretching held for longer than we would in a traditional vinyasa flow class. Yin focusses on connective tissue whereas the power aspect focuses more on muscles. Stretches will be held anywhere from one minute, upwards to four to five minutes. This class is 45 minutes long. Blocks and Straps are STRONGLY encouraged to aid in the stretching:-)

Handstand Level 1 - Handstand Level 1 is for students interested in obtaining a freestanding handstand. This 60-minute class will consist of warm-ups, skill and alignment drills, strength exercises, and stretches to facilitate a solid handstand. (prerequisite - must be able to kick up on the wall).
